Emeritus First Lady Margret Ellen Ratcliff was born and raised in Raleigh, the Capital City of North Carolina, to William and Pearl Nichols. The couple named her after two teachers from Meredith College: Miss Margaret Forgeous and Miss Ellen Brewer To the Lincoln Park Holiness Church, she is affectionately called "Mot". Mot is a well educated Christian and loving hearted woman of God. In the early days of her life, she graduated from Saint Monica's Catholic School with honors and later, from Washington High School. She was selected as president of several class team organizations, such as Girl Scouts, Latin Club Y-Teens Glee Club, and others. Mot organized and managed The Little Jubilees Singing Group at Lincoln Park Holiness Church. She operated The Mot's Tots Day Care in her home for several years. On March 21, 2009, she was recognized as Woman of the year by Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. Omicron Zeta Chapter. She is honored annually with the  Church Family. Today, Mot serves as  the Emeritus First Lady under the leadership of her son Pastor William Eli Ratcliff at Lincoln Park Holiness Church.
