Pastor William Eli Ratcliff

Overseer William “Billy” Eli Ratcliff is a native of Raleigh, North Carolina.  He was born on January 25, 1952 to the late Bishop Eli Ratcliff, Jr. and Mrs. Margaret Nichols Ratcliff, and he is the oldest of three children.  Overseer Ratcliff is married to the former Chandullal Rochelle Arrington and they have two children: daughter Takara Michelle Ratcliff Morris (Teron) and son Quenten Eli ( Teressa) Ratcliff and two granddaughters Aria Michelle Morris and Tahlia Marie Ratcliff.

 

William Eli is a graduate of J.W. Ligon High School, Raleigh, NC (1970).  After high school he attended North Carolina Central University. He was an employee at Progress Energy for six years, and later became an employee with the United States Postal Service for over thirty-three years. 

 

William Eli’s religious life has been very active.  He has served as Sunday School teacher, usher, church newspaper consultant, choir member, van driver, organist, chairman of Trustee Board, minister, Elder, General Overseer, and organizer of the Truevine Conference.  After being called into the ministry William Eli delivered his initial sermon in June 1993.  His message was “A Claim of Victory.”  He received his nurturing, training, spiritual rich growth and development under the auspices of his father, Bishop Eli Ratcliff, Jr.  William Eli did his theological training at Shaw University Divinity School, Raleigh, and earned his degree with a concentration in Ministerial Studies, graduating Summa Cum Laude.  He furthered his education at Saint Augustine’s University, Raleigh and in 1999 received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Organizational Management.

 

He was the pastor of Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church for 14 years and has pastored Lincoln Park Holiness Church for 2 years.

 

In 2015, Overseer William Eli Ratcliff continues the legacy of his grandfather and father the late Bishop Eli Ratcliff Sr. and Bishop Eli Ratcliff Jr. as pastor of Lincoln Park Holiness Church where “Our Main Objective is Winning Souls”.  Pastor Overseer William Eli inspires Lincoln Park Holiness Church to “Maintain and Multiply Until the Day We Die”.  Currently he is Presiding Elder of Truevine Assembly of Pentecostal Churches, Inc.   He thrives on doing service that is pleasing to the Master.  God has blessed Lincoln Park Holiness Church during the past year as Overseer Ratcliff followed the instructions of God: Many souls have come to Christ, increase in number of baptisms, and memberships. Renovations  inside and outside of the church and Truvine Learning Center which will house the new Children’s Church School.  Outreach ministry through video, radio, YouTube, and Facebook.  Overseer Ratcliff is very concerned about the neighborhood and is diligently working to revitalize the Lincoln Park neighborhood.  He believes in High Powered Preaching, Sound Doctrine Teaching, Compassionate Reaching and Halleluiah Praise.
